Business in the front, party in the back, ya’ll! I’m so excited to introduce you guys to my latest design- The FANDECO TEE!

The Fandeco Tee offers the casual, easy fit of a summery tee, with the additional surprise of the playful lace panel across the upper back (and hello extra breathability!)

I was super excited when Kathleen of LeRoo Crochet/LeRoo Cotton reached out wanting to work on a design together in her hand-dyed Pima Cotton yarns! (If you didn’t catch my interview with Kathleen last week, you can find it here.) The DK weight yarn used in this design, in combination with the stitch patterns, works up super quick! And the contrast of the main body with the back Fandeco panel, and two different sleeve options allows you to play with endless yarn and style combinations! A couple testers even did just one solid color throughout and it looks amazing! If you’re interest in trying out Kathleen’s yarns for your Fandeco Tee (and I highly recommend that you do!), you can find KITS for the Tee in her shop! The best part is she is allowing you to build-your-own kit, so you have your pick of any color combination in her shop (mine is is “Coffee Please” and “Fallfetti” if you’re curious)!

You can now find the Fandeco Tee Pattern in both my Etsy and Ravelry shops!

(please be aware that Ravelry has recently had many complaints with their new design layout which has trigged seizures, migraines and vertigo. If you have any trouble accessing this or past pattern purchases from me, reach out at contact@fiberandfox.com and we can work out a solution!)

Now, let me tell you a tad bit more about my new favorite summer tee. If you’d rather watch me gush about it, you can find the pattern drop video on my YouTube channel (and there’s always a coupon code for the first week of the release!!)

The pattern is written in standard US crochet terms, and is listed a “intermediate” just to be safe, but a lot of testers felt it was definitely doable for an advanced/adventurous beginner. And I make sure to provide lots of photos/tutorials/tips throughout to hopefully make it as manageable as possible for as many of you as I can!

As I said, the tee calls for DK weight yarn, but its worked at a nice breathable, drapey gauge (a G/5.0mm and an H/4.0mm hook!) to keep it nice and summery for you. The pattern purchase includes a private link to a tutorial to walk you through every stitch of the Fandeco panel across the back (more about my Fandeco stitch and it’s inspiration in this Fandeco VEST post!), but you can find a tutorial for the main stitch used in the body of the pattern both here on my blog, as well as on my channel! The pattern also includes lots of helpful photos, as well as a full (super cute) schematic to make sure you have all the info you need every step of the way!

The size inclusive pattern ranges from XS-4XL (roughly 28/30″ bust to a 58/60″ bust), but is written for 6-8 inches of positive ease, so depending on how you like your fit, it may also fix up to 5XL. The pattern as lots of helpful information, as well as the schematic, to make sure you pick the size that will look fabulous on you! It is made to fit slightly below your waist, or as a tunic-ish fit, but the length can easily be customized to whatever you feel suits you best!

The Tee is worked in panels, and blocking is recommended throughout to make sure that when you go to seam everything is looking its best (don’t know how to wet block? Gotcha covered there on a written or a video tutorial too!). There will be a little bit of seaming involved, but no worries, there will be pictures to help you there too!

My favorite part of any pattern design is watching it come to life with my testers, so let me share some of their inspiring pieces with you here! They were a fantastic bunch- and bonus points to anyone who can focus and follow through on commitments right now with everything 2020 is throwing at us! For more details on the testers’ yarn choices, measurements, etc, you can always check out the Ravelry (same warning applies!) project pages to get more info, as well as lots more pictures!
